You must mean the oil pressure sending unit? I took mine out to install my headers, then re-installed it after I was done. It clears the hooker 2210's well.
You could take it out and plug the hole and have the sending unit on the back china wall of the block?

the only thing on the back of my block by the distributor is this square thing sticking up ,and i dont know if it even comes out.a 5/16 wrench seems to fit it though. i didnt want to risk messing something up by trying to take it out.

pipe plug yes, it is
as for the oil switch down by the oil filter if its too close to the headers and you stil have the ECM in your car and have to keep the switch then you can go to the plumbing store and get a shorter length 1/4" pipe off the shelf or from a drawer so that the switch will sit closer to the block
dirt cheap fix
i just removed the pipe plugged the one on this 305 today that i got for my 82 sinc ei have no ECm or harness anymore and swapped on a non-EST carb and HEI and will be running headers if they fit good enough
good luck
