I am interested in adding SLP headers and a catback to my 92 GTA with the 350 L98 engine w/dual cats. I want to install SLP 1 3/4 headers w/A.I.R. I've been looking for months to find some used SLP dual cat headers that have been discontinued since 2002 but I haven't had any luck finding any. I spoke to SLP a few months ago to see if they would do a run of dual cat headers if there were enough interest but they said they wouldn't. The guy I talked to said the SLP headers with a y-pipe and 3" exhaust would make more power than the sticking with the factory dual cat midsection, catback and SLP dual cat headers. I was wondering which SLP setup would make more power.
Also, if I were to purchase these headers, should I get the ceramic coated ones or should I get ones that aren't coated and send them to get Jet Hot Coated.

Hi Andy,
I can answer some of your questions for you as i have been there before, I too have a 92 as well, and like you i also wanted the dual cat SLP set up, And again like you i also found out that they are very hard to find and are no longer produced, But there is hope, Just buy the single cat version, and cut the pipe where it merges to form the 3 " and attach to your dual cat set up, or replace your dual cat set up with one from catco like i did,I have the Coated 1/58 with air and it all bolted right up with no problems at all, just shoot me a PM and i will see if i can dig up a pic for you as well,later..GTA
