Well here is the exhaust that's going to replace the broken Catcos and American thunder flowmaster system. What kinda gain should i see, if any? This is my 1st Magnaflow system which consists of 2 - 2 1/2" Magnaflow cats and the 15620 catback. I've only had Flows on my cars so I wanted a change.
I will post up the mods made to fit the system, and a sound clip of both syestems. The catback was $388 at Summit and the cats were $94 each and since I went to Summit and bought them I get a $30 gift card. I also bought my Sportlines.

Right here you can see that I won't need to lengthen the I pipe, it goes to the front of the cats.

Here's a pic of the hangers that are on it.

Yeah, he's kooking up the lca relocators, exhaust, and sfc's.
I just hate that nasty exhaust smell and I figured the cats aren't really going to rob power so why not. Plus they'll smooth out the tone a bit.
I heard a soundclip of an lb9 with this catback and it sounded awesome! I can't wait.

Awesome, that's the way to do it.
SFC's and LCA brackets made a diff on mine, you'll enjoy the solid feeling and better traction.
Hope to see/hear it soon!

Me too! I should have it all done in a week or 2. I'm fixing the oil leak at the rear of the ntake and then I'm making the drive to Bretts shop for a days worth of anticipation.

Let me know when you come over. Brett's shop is literally a hop, skip, and jump from my place. In fact, my car will be less than a quarter mile from his place for the next week (long term parking at SFO).

It'll be a couple of weeks as I have a lot of other parts that I have to install but I will definatly post a clip of both exhausts so everybody can see the difference between the two.

Re: Got my Magnaflow system!
AFAIK, he hasn't been to the Bay Area to get this done. Actually what happened instead is spelled out here:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/nort...rk-engine.html

Also, his Bay Area connection for installation (and mine) has been diverted by a noble cause.

We'll both be ready for the Future Famous "SO-CAL SMACK DOWN" in June.

Re: Got my Magnaflow system!
Yeah, after installing the HSR I drove it for 2 days and the engine spun the #8 rod bearing. I returned the catback so I would have a little more money for a good engine build. Sucks cause I really wanted the Magnaflow. I'm alright with the Flowmaster and love the sound, just wanted something different.

Re: Got my Magnaflow system!
id rather have a HSR than a magnaflow catback, and if you want something sounding different... do what i did

cut a 1 1/2" hold in the exhaust pipe before the flowmaster :P i have duals so i did it before each muffler at the rear and it sounds sweet, really loud but sweet
