Cut-out question...
Cut-out question...
So I'm going to buy them tomorrow and put them on my self. But I have a question Should I buy 2 and weld them right after the headers. Or save myself some money and just buy 1 and put it in right before the Cat
Thanks in advance. And o ya just making sure the stock exhaust piping on an 87 350 is 2.5 dia right? Im to lazy to go out and check

Re: Cut-out question...
What type of headers do you have - long tubes or shorty style?
I have short style and I used a single 3" cut out just after the Y and I like it. The stock 350 exhaust should be 2.75", so a 3" cutout would work fine.

Re: Cut-out question...
this has come up many times before, and i think its pretty hard to put them on they-pipe
best bet is just to do it after the cat, or what i did inplace of the cat...

I installed 2 after the headers and i love it, but i have full lengths, if i had shortys i would go right before the cat with a single, HTH.

Re: Cut-out question...
long tubes here, 3" collectors with 3" to 2 1/2" reducers to cutouts. Pretty low to the ground but the best place for them if you want as close to "open headers" as you can get.
