Hooker Y-Pipe needed
Where can I buy just the Hooker Y Pipe for a 2055 HKR1 (ceramic) exhaust system for my IROC? A service technition put my 89 IROC on a 2 post lift today and dented and scratched the heck out of my perfect ceramic Y Pipe I installed 2 months ago.
The auto company said they would cut and replace the Y pipe area that was dented. To make it worse, the owner of that company is a friend!
What do you think I should do?

Tell them it is only available with a complete header set. Holley used to be willing to make an extra y-pipe when they did a 2055HKR run, but the last member who reported trying that said they aren't doing it anymore. Can't hurt to try again, though - maybe you'll get a customer service rep who knows more about what's going on.
If the section is cut out and repaired, it will have to be sent to Jet Hot or someone similar for recoating. By the time all that is done, it might be cheaper (and certainly better final result) to buy an uncoated set of headers and have just the y-pipe sent out for coating.
You certainly hate to hear about things like this; happening with a friend makes it even worse. Hope you can work it out to mutual satisfaction.

Re: Hooker Y-Pipe needed
Yes I called holley and asked and they said they can not seperate and I will have to buy a complete set. I just had mine cut and replaced.
Yeah sucks when stuff like that happens with friends and/or family. But you have to look at it like this guy isnt your friend. I would expect an exact replacement. I would make him buy and new set you keep the y-pipe and then come on here and sell the headers so he isnt out to much money.
Main reason I dont work with family and friends you hate to be an a#$hole.
