T5 and hedman 68460....possible?
This is probably been asked a hundred times, but I can't think of the right keywords to search...I have already ordered and recieved the headers for my engine swap project, and I would really like to install the T5 (I yanked a dead 3.1L outta my 90 RS, and the 700r4 is obviously no good to me). I found a guy local that will sell me the t5 and all of the necessary hardware CHEAP. Then I remembered that Summit said that this combo is not possible. Are they right? Any way around this? Any help is appreciated!

It can be done...the only issue is with the slave cylinder....the primaries will not allow the header to fit without modifications.....I used a floor jack and a propane torch to bend mine then cut the flange off and am in the process of fabricating the end back on.

OR...A simple Ding in the collector does the trick. Search for ChevyMec. He has this and I believe has some pics somewhere around here. If not search the same name on fbody.com.
