i was attempting to install headmen headers w/o o2 and figured..eh cant be that hard to weld the old one in....i checked the location of the stock o2 and followed the wires down to around the bellhousing and realized>it isnt even hooked up, not only could i not find where the plug goes for the 02 but couldnt figure out why it has no effect on my cars performance considering it cant be reading anything....ideas anyone?

Re: Interesting o2
hello blimko, this is blimko and i cant tell you anythin about what your asking because it should run like shi* if your 02 isnt plugged in at all, and no its not all that hard to relocate the o2 sensor to your non o2 headmens, the hardest thing will be getting the manifolds off cuz the pass side rear bolts are a pain. anyway, i'll keep waiting for someone to help you becausei cant do it. your welcome for these tips though.

Re: Interesting o2
my car has been running great and i just realized two days ago that my o2 sensor has not been plugged in for god knows how long, so i really dont think the o2 sensor does much for the car and/or performance...

Re: Interesting o2
Correct, the 02 sensor is one of the main components that determines your air to fuel ratio. Without it your always in open loop running rich and using the fuel tables that the ecm originally came programmmed with and which dont fit your engine "perfectly"

Re: Interesting o2
Just maybe the ses bulb is burned out from having been on so long.....OR the PO removed said light to hide the fact there is an O2 problem. Gibson....just imagine how much better it will run if you get it to run correctly.....and how much less fuel you will burn!
Re: Interesting o2
Mine was disconnected for a few days (Forgot to plug it back in after workin on it) and I only got a SES light while cruising at a very steady 55ish MPH.
