I just got a new Y-pipe made up for a new set of headers I put on, and now after I've got a rattling noise coming from that area. Basically what im asking for is if anyone had this problem and can point it out to me. I went under there when it was running and couldnt see the y-pipe touching anything to make that noise, that is why I believe it is a shield. So does anyone have any experience with the rattling noise????

 

Have you checked the rear heat sheild for missing mounting screws? How about the rear exhaust hangers and pipes? Might be hitting on the upper support?

 

I haven't checked the rear for that but im almost 100% sure the noise is coming from the front of the car.
