Y pipe: 1982 vin code H LG4 305, one year only ??
from everything i have seen- including the napa exhaust catalog,
the 1982 vin code H LG4 y pipe is one of a kind
one year only
is this true ?
can someone confirm ?
Vehicle:
1982 – 1982 Pontiac Firebird
Fits Engine – Chassis:
5.0L, V8, GAS, CARB, VIN "H" — Base
5.0L, V8, GAS, CARB, VIN "H" — S/E
5.0L, V8, GAS, CARB, VIN "H" — Trans Am
Fit Note:
Except High Output
Walker Y pipe #WK40498
1983-87 years vin H shows the Y pipe to be # 40497
so what is different about them ?
is it the curve to the cat converter, or the shape/style of connector to the converter ?
thanks

I would say that it's no different from any other third gen except for the factory TH-350. I have a th-350 in my car and it did not alter exhaust fitment at all.
