Jet Hot Coated Hooker 2055 Headers Bolt On?

Hi, while I am having some issues with my headers and working for a solution with excesicve heat, I am also evaluating other the options of exhaust systems.

I have done a ligh search on the forum and also read the "red this first" in this regard.

It appears that the beast Header are the Hoockers 2055. But when I go an look for the headers, it doesnt look like bolt on, and i dont even know if there is a Y pipe for thirgens.

What I am interested is on a set of headers that is bolt on, that provides some room to change plugs, tigthen the nuts, and the like.

Currently I have a set of Edelbrock TES system. Installation was not that bad, but the space distribution does NOT seem the best.

Does Hooker 2055 comes as a bolt on system, complete the y pipe? Can I get then without the air tubes?

If this was explained on another section, then I do apologize and kindly request to directme to that thread.

Thanks!!!

It's explained almost every time someone asks about 2055's.

They come with the y-pipe. The picture on summitracing.com just doesn't show it.

They are for all intents and purposes "bolt on" for '86-'90 TPI single cat applications with the original exhaust. The power steering bracket that bolts to the exhaust manifold will have to be modified. Whether they will be "bolt on" for you depends upon your car and what you've done to it.

They don't come without the A.I.R. tubes. They are intended to be emissions-legal. If you don't want the A.I.R. tubes, cut them off and weld the tubes shut. Or, just cap off the check valve fittings.
