i changed my cap and rotor to an msd along w/ msd wires so the prob. was that it was making a clickin sound every time i hit the gas down a lil above half way so i could not go above 45 or it would be a constant clickin so this was doin it sense i put it in so i changed it back to the stock one and now it does not do it so wut is the prob. w/ the msd cap and rotor is it to powerful? do i also need to change the distibuter? i have no clue as to the prob. but i do know that that was $80 dollers out the window because i cant use it so any ideas would be appr. thanks

hmmm wierd, i know an exhaust manifold gasket leak will click like a time bomb.......LOL..will it do it if you rev it up in park?? does it seem to do it at a certian RPM or MPH .... just tring to put some more things together here...........but if if the stock one is total quiet then maybe you have a defect in the cap and all, im running all MSD and its totaly quiet

 

well it does it when i step om the gas like half way but then if i go above 45 it does it even if you hit the gas lightly but when you 1 st start the car and step on the gas hard it does not do it, its like when the car gets warmed up after about 15 min of drivein and no it does not do it if i rev it and i have not looked at the rpm to see if it does it at a certain rpm but if i had to guess it would prob. be around 2000 rpm
