Decisions to make, could use help please
Whats up, I'm about ready to order the Hooker super comp catback for my '91 z, but im trying to decide whether or not to get the hooker 2055 headers (w/ y-pipe) as well. Should I spend that $800 dollars for the 2055s on something else, like a new torque converter, or should I just go with the headers/y-pipe? Would appreciate some advice, Thanks

You must be talking about coated headers for that price. But, if you have stock manifolds and y-pipe now, the 2055HKR's would make other mods work better. Whether it would make more difference than a different converter - maybe not, but they would make other modifications work better with the converter.
It's all in the "package". Individual changes may not work well if not coupled with other complimentary changes.
