build your own 3" direct catback
After searching on summit after the fact that i bought and installed the hooker catback heres what i found. Dynomax makes every pipe you need to make your own catback i think this is great for people that have to modify 4th gen catbacks to work on thirdgens. Hears a part list of everything you need i did this one with a direct fit magnaflow muffler.
MPE-14267 magnaflow muffler $125.95
wlk-43243 passenger tailpipe $39.99
wlk-43244 driver tailpipe $40.39
wlk-43248 3" over axle to muffler pipe $64.99
wlk-44063 3" i-pipe $109.99
total- $381.39 direct fit no modifying
total- 4th gen magnaflow catback $388.95
i-pipes are 3" tailpipes are 2.5" turndown stock style. You can use and direct fit 3" in 2.5" out muffler.

Just dump it....
Really i just have my exhaust guy get me a I pipe(3") and it goes over the rear like stock since it is a stock replacement. Then whatever muffler. You can buy a U bend for cheap and have him make my tail pipes. Bet i spend 150$ + the price of whatever muffler i choose.
Which is basically custom, like mine i have the I pipe, dual cutouts and a used 80 series till i buy a outlaw flowmaster.
The possibilities are unlimited, you did piece together a decent kit for a direct install.

Anyone point me to an affordable 3" exhaust all the way back? The below is old but should I rely on the parts listed as known good? Thanks!
I need headers and Y pipe too...full redo of my exhaust if you will.

Their are a number of options for exhaust but if you will have long tube headers then the Hooker Black Heart exhaust is probably your best bet. If you'll have shorty headers then their really are probably a dozen choices and in the end they are all just bent tubing in a similar configuration and routing.
