Removing cat
Hi my question is when i remove the cat. converter and weld in a straight pipe would i have to use 3 wire 02 sensor or will just a new 1 wire work? And as for the sound level how much will it increase if i just removed the cat and leave everything stock regarding the exhaust?

Re: Removing cat
i got no cat and a one wire O2, runs fine, a 3 wire is more accurate people say i got a flow 80 and its loud
got a freind with a Z28 that has no cant and stock early style dual Z28 mufflers and its real mellow, just loud enough but not to loud

Re: Removing cat
The stock 1 wire sensor will work fine. The O2 sensor doesn't care what happens after it.

Re: Removing cat
When I removed my cat it really didn't make that much of a difference at idle, but at WOT it made a huge difference. Then again I did add headers at the same time and already have a flowmaster 80 series.
