Thanks again matt. and this car is lowered atleast 2 inches as the ground clearance is very good considering, and that is matts monster hand just to give ya an Idea

Re: New Exhaust setup
for referrence, my hand it pretty big, he's got a solid 3.5" clearance under there, and the car is somewhat lowered.
hey sean, can you edit your post so the pics go in decsending order instead of side-by-side?

Re: New Exhaust setup
the lowers point is were his hans is, and got it started today after treating the dash apart to find out the starter relay was bad...... now I will have to take the header off again to get the clearance I need for the drivers side. but waht I can tell sounds bad butt wit hthe magnaflow. alot better then the flow junk

Re: New Exhaust setup
oh. That would be awesome if you could. I live In Brewster Ny, Thats probably far from your family though because you said up state New York. I just listened to your car's exhaust on youtube, all I have to say is AMAZING!!!
I have a 305 with 3 inch flowmaster, aluminum edelbrock intake, and a supposed small energy cam. Would you think Long Tubes would be to much for my motor? Shorty's are just so much and I would rather have long tubes anyday.

Re: New Exhaust setup
....that sucks sean.
IROCjoyce, longtubes are never a bad thing in my opinion. the longer primary tube helps keep velocity/scavaging effects up, which helps draw the air out of the motor, thus producing more torque all through the rpm range and increasing upper rpm power. my fam lives in utica/illion area. i'm just not sure when i'll be getting up there again.

Re: New Exhaust setup
What was the center/rear portion of that Y-section built off of? A simple Y-pipe, like what you can buy from Summit/Jegs?

Re: New Exhaust setup
I assume the same type of setup will work with the cheapo $175 long tubes for these cars. I have been looking at shorty headers and they just look way to $$$ for what they are. I weld so having great pics like these should enable me to put something similar together. Great job and thanks.

Re: New Exhaust setup
yeah this will work for any headers, I really like how wel it is put together. you want to make sure you have a chop saw that is what he used to cut the tubing. Like I posted I have alot more pics on my cardomain.
