Another exhaust question
I've given up trying to find a local place to fab up my true duals...at least for a reasonable price. Keep in mind I am having Hedman Longtubes installed when I do this.
Now I want to either have a custom exhaust y pipe with dual cut outs and keep the 3" Magnaflow catback OR buy the mufflex 3.5" pipe and get the hooker aerochamber (I love the sound of those) I am expecting to be 380 rwhp and 400 torque to the wheels with the xr276 cam and somewhere around 420rwhp and 440 torque to the wheels with the xr288 cam.

Re: Another exhaust question
So I have found a fairly cheap solution to your problem. What I am thinking of doing would be a set of 1 3/4 with 3 inch collector shorties with a 3 inch cat back. Take the cat out. And where the cat was I would put a cut out for the strip to utilize more flow and power. This whole set would only cost 400 dollars and would have no ground clearance issues. The nice thing when your at the strip with the cut out you would have enough flow for 500 horse. Let me know what you think, because I am thinking of doing this

Re: Another exhaust question
If you are stuck on long tubes, then custom y-pipe it and hook it to your current system. I am a BIG believer in 1 3/4" SLP (or Dyno Don) shorty headers with a custom y and 3" cat back for the majority of setups on our cars...

I believe in that system to. One thing that i did just find that Dougs make 1 3/4 headers with a 3 inch collector. Dyno Dons only have a 2.5 collector. With this and a 3 inch y and 3 inch the whole way through would be the way to go. If that's not enough put a cheap cut out for the strip. Saves money and has no clearance issues!

Check jegs website. Dougs do make shorties 1 3/4 with 3 inch collector.I also checked dougs catalog and they both conflict with each other. I hope jegs is right, because that would work perfect for me. To confusing Here is the part # 776-D3320-R
