Dumb question about exhaust tips
So please excuse the dumb question, but I am a noob to doing much more than changing my alternator...
I have 91 RS Vert with the 305 TBI. I plan to to swap in an LS1/T56 in the next 12 months.
I was going to get my whole exhaust system upgraded, including tips, until I realized that I should wait until I get the LS1 installed. In the meantime, I really want to put some highly polished angle-cut tips on in place of the stock turn-downs just for the looks. Is there any reason to wait until I do the rest of the exhaust system? It seems like when I the exhasut installed on the LS1 they can just cut them off the old pipes and weld them back on the new...
But then again I have wasted money making assumptions before. I don't want to have to buy tips twice.

Re: Dumb question about exhaust tips
They could cut them off and weld them back on, but thats a waste of labor and money. Either wait, or get some cheap truck tips welded on now. Whenever you buy a new catback, like a flowmaster or hooker, it will come with its own tips.
