Hooker Super Comp Headers

Well for those who have been following my build, I wound up going with a set of the regular Hooker Super Comp LT headers. I bought an expensive set of Hooker Super Comp #2322 headers which are 1 7/8" with 3.5" slip on collectors, I think they would have worked better for my setup but I wanted to get the motor in the car and I wasn't sure how ground clearance would be with the 2322's.

Anyways, I am very happy with the plain 1 3/4" Hooker LT Super Comps, ground clearance is great and installation wasn't a big deal at all. I had to buy a new starter, I wound up going with a mini starter from carquest that I am not happy with AT ALL. Oh well that is another story . I will get some pics of the installation up this week, anyone thinking about them they are quality and easy to install .

Installation of the headers was a breeze since the motor was already out of the car, only had to modify a brake line and that was about it .

I listed the 2322's on ebay and the buy it now is cheaper than the 1 3/4" Super Comps that I purchased ! . Though I would give some of you a heads up . If anyone is interested, I will put a link in my signature.

If you want a starter you'll be happy with, I'm running a Hitachi one from Napa. Really small and great clearance from the header. I can get you a part number today if I remember.

Hey man,

I would definitely be interested in a part number! This Proform I am running from Carquest has been a PITA from the beginning...

What are you running for exhaust now? You will have to see the pictures of my new setup .

Didn't go to Napa today but will tomorrow to pick a part up, I'll get you some numbers. Running the same headers as you into dual 3 inch and bullet "mufflers". Going to redo it to a single 4 inch eventually, too freakin loud right now. Friend of mine could hear me get on it a good half mile away, through pine trees

Re: Hooker Super Comp Headers

PSL100 is the big part number on the box. I had been using their Napa brand gear reduction starter which caused me so many damn problems. I replaced a few things before finding out the brand new starter was total crap. Think I actually went through 2 of them just to make sure, both caused problems. This Hitachi one has been great and it's smaller.
