full length headers and advice
I was looking at a set of painted full length headers for my 87 IROC 5.0. Are there any Y pipes with an O2 bung that will fit with full length headers? Should I look into getting a flowmaster catback system or having a custom exhaust done up? Thanks guys!

mufflex makes a y-pipe for the hooker longtubes, but i can't remember if they have an o2 bung in the y-pipe. i'm sure for a nominal fee mufflex will put one in for you. the hedman longtubes do not have an aftermarket y-pipe available, one will have to be built. either way, i wouldn't run a flowmaster catback, they suck for flow.

The mufflex ypipes they offer are for Hooker 2210's only for our cars and no O2 bungs. They will put one it for a fee (sometimes free). Having said that there's no reason you can mod it a little to fit any full length header. I have Hooker 2210's, the mufflex ypipe and their 4" catback. I actually am only using about 70% of the original mufflex ypipe and had to fab the rest myself. For a catback...hmm...how much power do you think you be building. IMO I'd go with a 3" single in and single 3" out spintech muffler.
