305to 350
doing a swap from a 84 305 to a 72 chevy 350,now the stock exhaust manifold on pass side is causing a prob ,the back bolt hole does not line up? driver side did just fine.help

3rd gen exhaust manifolds use a "7th" bolt hole on that back bolt. Earlier heads didn't have it.
Odds are about 100:1 that your 305 heads are better for that 350 than the heads that came on it. Best options are (in ascending order): 1) Put on headers; 2) put the 305 heads on the 350; 3) put the 305 heads on the 350 and install headers.

Worst case scenario, just run it. If the manifold is flat it probably won't leak. I wouldn't go to the trouble of putting 1.8x valved heads on a 350
