Jet Hot

Anyone buy headers from them?
I'm pricing ceramic headers for my 86 IROC.
My local speed shop quoted me $902 for hooker's. Jet Hot has them for $369.

Sounds like two different part numbers of headers.

Hooker 2055HKR's with coated headers and y-pipe will be in the $750-$800 range from Jet Hot. Ceramic coated by Hooker from Summit they're $806.39.

The 2460's are the "shorty" headers aren't they? That's the style I want, the ones with the collector right by the bottom of the block. The roads around here aren't long tube header friendly on a car as low as a 3rd gen.

Re: Jet Hot

Yep the 2460's are the shorty style. there 3 bolt flange with a 3" diameter collector. the only bad thing though is the y pipe that goes with it from summit is 2.5" outlet. Im sure if you find a good exhaust shop they can fab you up a nice flowing y pipe with a 3" outlet. That would make the 2460's superior to the 2055's .

Re: Jet Hot

Unless they custom make the y pipe using mandrel bends, not crush bends which restrict, you may want to go the 2055 route because of the nice y pipe... I picked up my jet hot 2055's for CHEAP from them cuz I guess they were taking up space

Re: Jet Hot

When I bought my 2055's 2 years ago I first modified them by porting out all of the casting flash and opened up the collectors to flow better. I dropped them off to jethot in Phoenix personally and now it looks like there is some small rust popping up around my headers flanges and around my collectors. At this point I'm not to happy with jethot. I've got aroung 667.74 in my headers.

Re: Jet Hot

Jet Hot has a lifetime rust through guarantee I think. Talk to them... It came with my 2055's I bought from them.

Re: Jet Hot

Would a 2.5" y-pype be that much more restrictive then a 3" on a stock 305? I ask this because I was thinking about just getting the 2460's and that summit y-pype. I dont plan on really doing any mods other then bolt on stuff, and an engine swap won't be done for a looooong time seeing as I live in an apartment and none of my relatives have a garage.

Re: Jet Hot

i just ordered a set of longtubes from them. jethot's coating hooker 2210's for 733 shipped. Summit wanted 729 plus shipping for the cheaper ceramic coating that hooker supplies, which i've heard isnt as good as Jet Hot stuff

Re: Jet Hot

Jet Hot has a y pipe it sells to go with the 2460 style headers.
The part # is 167674KR
Is that the 2.5" one?

Re: Jet Hot

hey folks,

i just had gus from jet hot quoting me an offer for coating a set of 2055 for 700$ CA-shipped, but then again this doesn't include the ypipe. just not sure whether he meant the ypipe is not included at all or just coating it no reply on this yet.
do you guys get your y-pipe coated as well or just the headers??

Re: Jet Hot

Yes I have the 2055's and y pipe, all sterling ceramic coated...
They had posted up a clearance sale (I guess trying to make apace) and I got them for about $500...
They were shipped, I live in Tampa Bay.
