true duals w/ shorties
So can it be done? Right now I have a set of SLP's and whenever I drop my motor in its going to need exahust to be done. Not sure if I should run single 3" or dual 2.5 or 3". Going to go with dynomax bullets probably, no cats. My neighbor said his exhaust guy could do it, im just wondering because I read all this stuff on here about how we cant have dual exhaust on our cars im just wonder what the big deal is. it seems like you could easily run dual pipes straight back w/o losing too much clearance on a non lowered car.

i think it would be cheaper and easier to do yourself.
for simplicity, i would go single 3" though. How much horsepower are you putting out? Are you running nitrous?

Anyone know what the outlet size is one SLP headers? I think the hardest part would be flanging it up to the SLP's and using some sort of mandrel bend pipe to come down flush with the underbody, then pretty much you could put an x pipe, then run the exhaust straight down the driveshaft, put two bullets before the axel then get some tail pipes later

the outlet is 2.25 the flange is the stock two bolt flange. In other words, it can bolt up to the stock y pipe until you bring it to a place that can bend pipes for you.

Re: true duals w/ shorties
With shorties, the only problem area I can see would be on the driver's side, and the clearance of the brace above the panhard bar. I saw one guy cut his up. But you might be able to use oval pipe to go through there, or you could modify the brace and but a U for clearance for the pipes, or you could just run both pipes over the passenger side, but I dont like that idea cause one pipe would be longer than the other, and I like the pipes to go straight back, with minimal bends.
I'm going with duals and I be trying out those options later on this year. I'll probably use a combination of oval pipe and the U-bend, unless I can just get away with the oval pipe.

I've got SLP's on mine with true duals. I snagged a pair of late model cats and ran 2.5" all the way. Have a look at the rear. You don't have to go over the axle. I've never had any problems with mine going under the axle. By the way, the cats went to the taxidermist first. They are there, but they don't meow anymore.

Re: true duals w/ shorties
I did 2.5" true duals on the BlueZ(
) on Heddman Shorty headers. The biggest hassle was the two collectors on the headers angled in towards each other(for a Y-pipe), so the true dual piping had to come from the collector and immediately out and way from one another... wasn't much room to do this. From there, the piping ran down the factory exhaust tunnel under the car.
Clearance was hindered a little bit, I dumped the exhaust at the rear axle with Dynomax Bullet's. Was I happy with it? Eh... I was iffy on it. The new owner immediately took the exhaust out and re-did it with a Y-Pipe.
