DIY ceramic coating?

DIY ceramic coating?

I was wounding if anyone has done there own? my buddy says he can order some for his powerder coating gun and do my headers afther they been sandblasted and clean how good does this stuff work is it just as good as jet hot? the only thing i can see maybe not working right is not having a oven that goes above 1400 degrees.... if anyone has done there own ceramic coating how do you like it? how good has it been lasting? and what brand type ect did you use.... thanks guys

Look in the auto detailing body section. There is a discussion going on right now about doing it yourself.

um your gunna need to remember you dont bake ceramic at 1400 degrees you merely need to cure it.600 deg stove would do it

i really wish i knew how well this worked, like can you get the inside of the primrries a good 100% covrage? does this last and is it as good as jet hot?

I'm not positive. But im pretty sure i just read abotu how to get 100% of the header coated in the other topic.

order the stuf from tecline coatings. you use a hvlp gun not a powder gun.

ceramic is liquid. you can cure at 400 if your buddies oven won't reach 600. then the rest of the cure will happen when you fire up the motor.
