what headers will fit best
I'm putting a 94 Lt-1 into my 83 Trans-Am, I want to put headers on the motor and was wondering if any one knows which headers might fit the best?

Any headers made for an 82-92 thirdgen V8 will bolt on and fit, but you should consider getting some of Dyno Don's 1 3/4" headers. Search this exhaust board and see the pics. You'll want the larger headers for the better flow of the LT1 engine.

Im happy with my Hooker 2055's. Just dont get Pacesetters. The welds on the back side of the flange (head side) were rough and no where near level, and they didnt come close to fitting at all....

If power is the goal, full lengths are what you need with a bit of modding where directed in the packing. Other than that, shortys have the best fit and ground clearance.

Send Dyno Don a PM and ask. Don doesnt discuss prices in public, as I said in the other post.
