hooker 2460s
Got me a set of coated 2460s. put em in. noticed the driver side collector is about .030 in away from the frame. Not good if you ask me. The motor is 383 dart alum heads and im using poly engine mounts. I figured the mounts would help clearance. dont know if the alum heads make a difference. Anyone else notice this clearance problem? i will post pics in a few if needed.

Re: hooker 2460s
i've had two different sets on two different cars...one had a 305 with factory 416's on it with solid motor mounts, the other has a 350 crate (hecho en mexico) with factory rubber mounts. neither of which had clearance issues...no experience with dart heads.

Re: hooker 2460s
hmmm, well like i said its on the driver side and if i remember correctly the chevy v8 torques to the passenger side so Im not sure how big a deal it will be.
However Im pretty sure it will hit and I would like to avoid damage. I think my only option may be to bend the header (frames dont bend or dent easily) like ive seen done with the slp headers.

if i remember correctly, ALL motors torque to the passenger side, because they all rotate in the same direction...

Not sure what the 2460's are but my 2210's are dented in on the drivers side for clearence from the small ear for the a arm i guess? I have AFR angle plug 1040's. The headers work fine.

Re: hooker 2460s
Well crap looks like ive got an uncommon problem.
speaking of uncommon, not all engines rotate in the same direction, some are contra rotational. also not all engines torque to passenger side as some are transversely mounted and im not sure but id imagine that boxer motors torque differently.
