"flowmaster" catback question
ok so i just picked up a flowmaster catback off of another members junked iroc, he had no knowledge of it other than the last owner said he paid an arm and a leg for it. i thought whoa $40 for a flowmaster catback!? One hell of a steal! Well i went down to his house and got it and i dont think its a flowmaster catback. It looks like someone bought a flowmaster muffler(what seires i couldnt say) And bent their own pipes and welded it themselves because this thing has more bend kinks than ive ever seen he said it was a 3" but i got it home and measured it and found its only a 2.5" but the 2 pipes leading to the exhaust tip are 3"........
But hey $40 for a new muffler aint bad, i was planning on cutting the muffler from the i-pipe and then buying the ones on summit that dynomax makes and welding them up to make it an actual 3" does anyone see any issues i may encounter?
Another thing, when i pulled my fuel tank a few months ago i took pix just because i like to remember my work and i looked at the current exhaust, no kinks, no nothing it looks mandrel bent did the factory exhausts come like this? or like the one i bought with the kinks?
thanks in advance
