Simple Header/exhaust question

Im looking to do headers on my 350tpi and have a question i couldnt find the answer to.

Whats the real difference between the set-up for a single cat and dual cat. Is there different lengths in the y-pipe. im no opposed to cutting and fabbing up something.

Im also looking into a set of edelbrock tes headers. opionions on them.

thanks

last of all, how much fun is it to install these things.? i had a 79 and it was cake and looks of this, seems a bit of a pita. lol

Re: Simple Header/exhaust question

Did you read my sticky post at the top of this forum about "Whats the best exhaust? What's the best headers?"

Edelbrocks are horrible.

The headers are mostly the same, the y-pipe is different. The single cat y-pipe joins together sooner into the one cat. The dual cat y-pipe stays separate and joins together after the two cats.

Installation can be challenging if you're a novice. The passenger side has the A/C and the AIR pump lines in the way. The driver's side has the steering arm in the way.
