2.25 OR 2.5 Pipe

Ok new engine making 360/370. 650cfm carb, hedman elite headers. Will 2.25 dual system work good?

Re: 2.25 OR 2.5 Pipe

2.25" dual flows about the same as a 3" single, so yes it should work fairly well up to around 370-400hp.

there is no exact horsepower level. you need to be more specific with the engine. mainly cubic inch, camshaft specs, head flow numbers, runner size, etc. id put a 2.5 inch on and be done, depending on the cubic inch. if it is a 383+ i would say 3 inch because then u have room for more improvement without choking the motor and having to pay for exhaust twice.

Also keep in mind if this is a daily driven car, dual exhaust systems run under a thirdgen lose ALOT of ground clearance. With your "nothing special" 350 I think you'd be better off with a good 3" cat back system. It will save you alot of headaches. Just my .02c

X2, thats what i did with my trans am. Everyone i know except one person who went duals regrets it due to lack of ground clearance.

I am running a 3" catback and love the fitment and ground clearance. From what ive heard my 327 will no be choked up from the setup

Re: 2.25 OR 2.5 Pipe

X3. 3 inch will be the way to go. Plus the 3" single pipe gives a deeper tone than 2.25"

Re: 2.25 OR 2.5 Pipe

yea but thats a 2 1/2 single, if i wanted to go with a 3" Y to a 3" intermediate pipe, does anyone make one of those? because it just doesn't make sense to run a single 2 1/2 or run an expander at the end of the Y to make it a 3". Or at least thats what i think? idk lol
