Right Different than Left?
On Thursday I had a new Magnaflow muffler, high flow cat, 3 inch piping, and Magnaflow tips installed at a locally owned exhaust shop with a good reputation. I just noticed today while in park and at warm idle the passenger side exhaust will have kind of have a popping tone to it that is not heard in the driver's side portion of the exhuast. It isn't real noticeable but there is definately a difference between the two exahust tips if you listen for it. There doesn't seem to be any difference when you first start the car or rev the engine and I only notice the different pitch when the engine is idling after warming up. I didn't notice any difference before with the old Xlerator muffler that was previously on the car, but naturally I'm paying more attention now after just having the new exhaust system installed. Should both sides sound exactly the same or will there be one dominant side in a single cat back system resulting in some sound variation? Otherwise the car seems to run and sound great. As always thanks for your input.

If you look underneath the car you should get your answer. With a single exhaust setup, the pipe goes into the muffler and then branches out to the driver & passenger side. So, you have one tailpipe that is closer to the exhaust input to the muffler, and that will cause a dominant side.
