A few years back Holley was taking prepaid y-pipe orders and making extras when they made a run of 2055's. Apparently they aren't doing that anymore.

Want a new y-pipe, have it fabricated or buy a new set of 2055HKR's.

Re: Hooker 2055 y pipe

Well whats the difference in the 2055 and the 2460? Would a y pipe for a 2460 work for the 2055?

Nope, the collector is different between the two.

The 2460 y-pipe is a sham, IMO.

Re: Hooker 2055 y pipe

The reason why I want the y pipe is because last saterday I talked to a guy that said he could fab one. We put my baby up on the rack and he showed me about how he would do it. He told me to get some new collectors and come back, and basically instead of making a pipe that snaked around the block like the stock pipe did, he said he could come off of the driver side collector and go straight under the bell housing and come up under the passenger side then meet with the other pipe which would look much like http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...2BSI%26otn%3D4 thats wierd hope you can see it. I have been skeptical about this because I dont want the heat from the pipe that close to my transmission and oil pan. Do you think it would cause a problem?

My ISP blocks your link. Do you have the item number?

The 2055 y-pipe follows the stock routing, in front of the oil pan sump.

Ground clearance would be affected following the route you suggested. The stock routing is the best for ground clearance.

Re: Hooker 2055 y pipe

Yes I know clearance is'nt very good, but I am positive it can't be worse than my current system. By the way 5.7kid you have been most helpful. If you don't mind try to look at this y pipe on ebay it's number is 280255504996. It is exactly what my exhaust guy was planning to fab for me. Other than the clearance is there anything I should worry about with this perticular pipe like radiant heat?

I didn't see any installed pics on the eBay site. But, I wouldn't like the pipe that close to the plastic bellhousing cover. It would make transmission fluid changes more difficult as well.
