custom down pipes for shorty headers

I bought a set of summit shorty headers for my car.Come to find out that they don't make down pipes for dual exhaust for the shorty's.So i had to bend some tubing to the bend i need.I took the tubing to a muffler shop and told them that i needed these bend on 2-1/4" Pipe.So they did and only charged me $90.00 which i thought was really cheap. The passenger side was perfect the driver side i still had to modify where it bolts to header.I had to cut a 22-1/2 angle on the pipe that way the pipe doesn't hit the ground. Here's some pics of the pipes.I will be posting some pic of the pipes installed. What do you guys think

Re: custom down pipes for shorty headers

2 1/4" Pipe seems kinda small.Especially with the crush bends.I could be wrong but IIRC the summit shorties sre flowtech or very similar which = not good flowing and not good for performance.I just took my flowjunks off and replaced them with some hookers going to single 3' I pipe.Basicaly follows stock setup after cat.Single 3' is supposed to be good up to around 400 hp and better flowing than the 2 smaller pipes.I just bought some 3' bends and am about to have my y pipe welded up.

I would love to see some picks when you finish, i plan on doing something like this. How good is the ground clearance?
