No AIR headers
Will headers from an older 305 (without AIR) work on my 89 IROC that originally had AIR? I removed the AIR pump (this car is not for everyday street use) and I want to get new exhaust headers for the 305, but I just dont know if I can purchase headers that would have fit the older 305 that did not have AIR. If someone could tell me if this is possible, I'd greatly appreciate it!! Thanks for all of your help.
Also... any recommendation on the type of headers to get?

Re: No AIR headers
I highly doubt that they would work bcuz the F-Body's require a weird set of headers for clearence of the steering, frame rails, and even the K-Member. Flowtech makes a set of coated none AIR headers for our cars so just search around, i think i found mine on Summit.

Re: No AIR headers
You need 82-92 f-body specific headers, but yes there are several sets out there that do not have the AIR tubes on them.

Re: No AIR headers
Great... I still havent gotten the passenger side exhaust manifold off yet. Those bolts are incredibly hard to get to. I have the air tubes off.. but the second to last bolt from the rear is practically impossible to get at. I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow and see if I can't take the whole manifold off. I think I'll need a whole new Y pipe too, once I get a set of headers. Thanks for the help
