Pics of a Borla System installed?

Does anyone have pictures of the 14888 Borla system installed on a 3rd gen? I bought one and for the price you would think these suckers would fit flawlessly... nope. Having a heck of a time getting everytihng to match up. Anyone have any input on one they have done?

Thanks for any help!!

I know this is off topic but... man that is one extremely nice GTA you have! looks great.

I tried searching that part # and I didn't see any pics of that particular part # installed. Just old posts in the for sale section for them.

OK... how about this one...

Has anyone installed the Borla and did you have to do anything interesting to make it fit correctly? Thanks!

Re: Pics of a Borla System installed?

I have a 4th gen Borla system (14780). Sorry no installed pics, but it's pretty much the same route as the factory system. With mine, the hanger mounts had to be moved. But I think thats the difference in the 3rd and 4th gen mounting points.

Re: Pics of a Borla System installed?

I do not have any photos, sorry. I'd take photos for you, but it's not in the car now. When I initially put it in, there was nothing to it, it went in pretty easy. Cut the pipe behind the cat (after the bend), use the adapter piece needed depending on the size of the pipe behind the cat, and run everything down. I think I did something with the tail pipe hangers, but that was it. Where are you having problems?

Re: Pics of a Borla System installed?

Borla is one of the trickiest systems to install, but I can assure you it will fit, unless something is tweaked on the car. A performance shop I used to work for always installed the exhaust in the following format and they always came out perfect. Loosely fit every piece of the exhaust. Once you get it all lined up, starting from the front working towards the back, snug the clamps down. Make adjustments on the rear components as necessary to keep the tips lined up. Again starting front to the back snug the clamps a little more. Make final tweaks and then tighten all down. We even used a level on the tips.....that's how perfect these can fit. Good luck and hope this helps!
