Ground Clearance

I know there were a few threads below where the big issue was ground clearance. I was searching for a solution and I think I might have found one. Has anyone ever considered oval pipes? Here's a link to one website I found https://www.drgas.net/catalog.php?catid=3

Re: Ground Clearance

I considered it a long while back. Only problem is, it still wont let you run it under the floor boards or anything. In fact...there was less room for it. I have my pipes tucked up and also tucked in side to side. There just isnt much room under there. Its also expensive. And you have to get round to oval adapters for both your headers and for your catback or mufflers.

If you build a nice tight system though, and plan it out well, ground clearance isnt an issue. Im not sure what kind of exhausts you were checking ground clearance issues with, but Im running long tube headers, mandrel y-pipe, flowmaster merge, to a magnaflow cat back. My car is lowered over an inch all around, and I take speedbumps with no problem.

Key is to tuck it on up. And build/buy a nice trans crossmember that will let you put the exhaust up higher. Its alittle easier for the manual guys also, because the trans area isnt as wide.

Exhaust is fun....haha.
