well i got bored last night my car had stock exhaust exept for headers y pipe and cat delete it was 2 1/4 all the way back to the axel then it splits into 2 1" maybe 1"1/4 pipes over the axel and join into a 2 1/4 pipe and a muffler on each end of it talk about screwy lol anyway i was going to put a glasspack under the car and do a turn down before the axel then i decided not to after i had cut about a 1 1/2 slit on each side before the mufflers it acutaly doesnt sound bad to me lol defanitly louder but i wouldnt say straight pipe loud? ill try to get some pics and a sound clip soon this is only temp until i can get a tsp cat back of course

 

reminds me of using a nail in mufflers back in the 60's. it got louder but i dont think it did anything for speed, the pipes were still to restrictive without headers and enlarged exhaust pipes.

Well, since youve already got the holes cut, cut that muffler off and have the duals open and shave a few pounds=) Sounds good to me, but I got tired of loud and put a honda muffler on.

 

i would do that but i think it would be even louder

 

that really doesn't sound bad at all... sounds just like a traditional SBC...

 

wha the hell is sbc???

 

btw the revs were idel around 7 to 800 first hold was 1000 then 1500 then 2000 then 2500 then the quick revs were up to 3000 to 3500

 

sbc = Small Block Chevy...
