A lot of people on the forum do not like the sound of glasspacks pop and crack and flap flap flap it just all depends on what you like. Imo considering you have headers and runnin side pips? It would sound damn good

Re: how would it sound
I've heard that glasspacks don't flow very well at all. And they're usually looked down upon, barely above straight pipes with no muffler at all in the exhaust hierarchy.
They're cheap, they're loud, that's is all it takes for some people.
Personally, I don't care what my car sounds like, I just want my exhaust system to help me get as much power from my car as I can, especially when I'm inhibited by this LO3.

Re: how would it sound
Honestly, glasspacks sound GREAT with a built motor. A stock 305/350 to me doesnt have the POWER of SOUND to bring out the awesome sound glasspacks can give with a built motor.
So all in all, glasspacks with a 305/350 cammed monster would sound awesome to me.
Look into chambered mufflers as well, kind of a hybrid between a glasspack and a muffler.
I'd really like to see more video clips of glasspacked or chambered exhausts on our cars/motors.

my exhaust man put them on mine and said he could make her sound like whatever i liked, and i can tell ya they sounded really good. no popping or cracking, just a cool rumble, its all about placement.

Re: how would it sound
Theoretically, it should, but I've seen a chart that compares straight pipe flow to many different mufflers and glasspacks perform poorly, I'm guessing because of the fiberglass packed center.

Re: how would it sound
try a chambered exhaust they sound great, have better flow than a glass pack and you can get then 3 1/2 with a 3 inch hole. and you can get them up to 26 internal inches long - 31 inches outside length.
for 90.00 you can make your mid pipe one and turn them into duals over the axel.

got to ask kings - what is with that logo? could be a firebird or a old school blured chevy emblem. but sorta looks like a german SS emblem.

youtube didn't exist the last time I had glasspacks.
In fact, the internet didn't exist the last time I had glasspacks.
Most of you weren't born the last time I had glasspacks.
Glasspacks flow terrible because they reduce the inner perforated tube diameter from the inlet/outlet diameter in order to have any control over sound.
Dynamax Bullets, on the other hand, flow very well. But, they aren't traditional "glasspacks", and don't handle the pops & crackles of aggressive cams well at all. They are designated a "racing" muffler, and should only be used as such.
