modifying 2055s

modifying 2055s

i found a set of brand new 2055s with in ten miles of my house on craigslist for 175. so i originally did not want all the air tubes and didnt want a cat but for that price cmon. now can i just plug the holes for the air or cap the main one off. also sisnce its a 3 inch y pipe will it just bolt just to my magnaflow or will i need to buy a pipe for in place of the cat, what should i use in place

you will need a section of pipe to replace the cat if you are going cat-less. Which is illegal in all 50 states. Seriously, a good high flow emmissions legal cat will not cost you much power at all, and the car will not smell.

as for the air tubes, the thread holes in the headers can be plugged, i think its pipe thread.

what do you mean the tread holes. those tubes arent welded on there threaded pipes?

buy them immediately - especially if they are new and clean.
leave the smog stuff on it - you might need it later. just cap the air tube and use the o2 sensor if your computer needs it.

i went there today and this spoiled little ****er sold me everything in his house. he gave me the coated hooker headers and y pipe brand new for 150. an aftermarket water pump for 25 he said it cost him 160 and a set of 4 tires for like 80 $$$.
