2460-1 Ceramic Coated Hooker header questions.
Part#2460-1 They are ceramic coated and have 1.5/8 Primary tubes and 3 inch collectors. Will fit any 82-92 Camaro or Firebird SBC. There are some scratches and minor rust but, they are in good shape with no leaks. I used these for 2 years and have been in storage since. Also the O2 sensor has never been knocked out.
^$145 sounds like a good deal to me

I was wondering, how do you hook these up to "stock" exhaust?(saying stock because we don't know what exhaust system it is.) Will we have to change anything? Sorry for random questions but don't know how to hook them up. Are these worth it and will they fit on a '81 355 sbc camaro?

headman sells the y-pipe you need to hook that up to the stock exhaust. Or you have to make one/have one made

Re: 2460-1 Ceramic Coated Hooker header questions.
Alright scratch everything I said before... I was tired and didn't do any research at all on my car. Alright the 2460's have a 3 bolt flange (i'm guessing at terminology in this thread) My camaro has the stock 2 bolt flange. The left exhaust manafold went under the car and both went together next to the left wheel with a T pipe.
[[[The T pipe if it was like this "T" then the left exhaust manifold goes into the straight section of the T. The right exhaust manifold goes into the part of the T that sticks down. They convert toward the straight part of the T to the back of the car.]]]
Alright with that said the 2460's have the 3 bolt flange, and the stock has a 2 bolt flange. What will I have to buy to weld/bolt to get then to meet up?
I would use the 2055's but they, as they seem, are only for emmission control systems. Which I don't have on the '78 truck motor.
Hopefully with this I could get some answers instead of just confusing you guys. Or could you suggest a different brand that will hook up to a stock 2 bolt flange?

The answers 86 t/a gave you still apply.I had a custom y-pipe cost me 150 with a mufler install as well.FYI my ceramic coated 2460`s cost me $50 bucks. The 2055`s and y-pipe made for them is supposed to be better but my buddy was in the 11`s with the 2460`s and 3" exhaust on a 383.Should be plenty enough for me.

Re: 2460-1 Ceramic Coated Hooker header questions.
The 2460's are a Hooker product.
I've been wrestling w/ the Y pipe issue, and thus far,
have only found the matching Hooker product (can't remember
exact price, but they're proud of it) and a cheaper version
by Doug's (about $160?). There's a thread further down in
this forum that has lots of good info about the cheaper unit.
Trying to mate the stock y-pipe to these headers, will require
pretty extensive mod's -- new flanges grafted in, assuming
the positioning is anywhere near correct.
If you get the Doug's unit, it will be much easier to graft the
outlet into the rest of your existing system, in front of the cat.
Good luck.
