Just installed the engine back in my wife's 92 Z28 with 5.7. I don't know if the exhaust is original. There is a hanger connected to the back of the inside cat that also hooked to the bolts of the torque arm bracket on the back of the the transmission. It broke and none of the local parts stores have a listing for it.

Is this a stock or standard part. If so, does anybody have a part number?

Thanks

I can provide a picture of the broken part if it would help.

Re: Exhaust Hanger
What type of trans: 700R4 or T-5? Are you discussing the rubber portion of the hanger or something else? If the latter, you may be forced to advertise in the classifieds or hit the bone yards.

Re: Exhaust Hanger
It's a 700R4. The bracket contains both the metal mounts (1 to back of converter, 1 to transmission bracket) and the rubber material between them. Look at the picture for details.

Thanks

Re: Exhaust Hanger
The following is the T-5 fix. The rubber portion may be the same:

Re: Exhaust Hanger
Thanks for the info. I thought I might need to make one myself. This will make it much easier.
