Back to the third gen stuff.

Alright guys i can't afford headers at the moment but i need to fix my exhaust so i can drive my Z again. I cut off the flowmasters since i discovered a v6 sounds just like my v8 with them so all i got is a real loud straight pipe. What i want to do is cut the ypipe before the last bend where it goes into the cat so i have a paralell pipe to the side of the car. then take a section of 3 inch tubing and connect it the ypipe and run it down the side of the car into like a dynomax bullet, then use a turn down tip but angle it out the side instead of on the ground before the rear tire. I think i can use some of the flowmaster tubing since its 3 in. The bullet is roughly 45 at summit, clamps of course, think i got a 20.00 off thing somewhere though. Ok so cost wise unless i'm forgetting something it seems pretty cheap to do.

Now i would like some advice and opinion from everyone, if you reccomend a different size tubing, muffler, ect. Just keep the cat opinions to yourself i'm not running one.

this is a little shot of what i got rigged up right now.

ok. Anyone else. Trust me the car isn't worth the money of a full cat back and its not a daily driver by any means.

Dude i plan on doing the same kind of thing. I was going to put a cut out right in front of the cat and keep the extra pipes hidden under the car. just cuz of the sound police lol

All i'm going for is to quiet the sound down slightly, but mostly clear it up to an even tone. Most older cops can appreciate a good sounding car, its when they're anoying you get into trouble. Just can't get on it if a cops on my passenger side with this set up.Lol.
