What Type Of Headers?

Hi i'm looking for a set of headers to replace the stock setup. Its a 90 GTA with the 350 and an auto. Are shorties best suited for this and what sizes? What else do I need to buy before installing headers? Thanks

Shorties aren't worth it. With headers you should really have a catback or cutout after the new Y-pipe.

Dyno don headers are top notch and worth the $$. Hooker 2055's are another top choice. Personally, if you are going through the hassle of removing exhaust, go all out and get some coated Long tubes. Hassle yes, but the biggest gains.

You read the "What's the best exhaust? What are the best headers?" sticky post at the top of this forum?

Long tubes arent worth the hassle in my opinion when you can buy shorties such as Hooker 2055's or Dyno Don 1 3/4" that bolt right in and work great. With long tubes you lose ground clearance and you have to custom fabricate a y-pipe.
