very confusing post.. I think you're refering to the a.i.r. tubes in the exhaust manifolds? If that's what your asking all third gen's came factory with air tubes in the exhaust manifolds..

yeah im talking about the tubes that hook to manifold and i think they run back to intake or something so all 80s camaros had this smog control

You are confusing the egr and a.i.r. systems. The a.i.r. system runs from the air pump to the exhaust manifolds and cat conv. It only effects emissions when starting the car cold. Beyond that all the system does it take up space making spark plugs harder to change and slightly decreases horsepower (albeit by such a small amount that it makes no noticeable difference). This system was present on all 82-92 f-bodies (V8's anyway, unsure about the V6 and I4 cars).

yeah i understand that im just trying to figure ou if this car has aftermarket headers and the only reason i think it does is beacuse it sosnt have that shi* on the manifold

Re: headers nedd help asap

The emissions tubes can be removed from the stock manifolds and plugged with pipe plugs or bolts. It is possible, however unlikely, that someone replaced the original manifolds with older non-emissions manifolds. That being said, distiguishing between cast iron manifolds and headers is just a matter of looking and seeing which it has - you really can't confuse the two.

Re: headers nedd help asap

There are no egr provisions on factory f-body manifolds. If you do end up getting a set of used headers make sure you get the matching y-pipe as well. Hopefully they are at least a decent brand, if they're something that was crappy to begin with like flow tech's don't pay more than $20 if they're in good shape. If they're rusted to death I'd avoid them all togather. Good luck! Post some pics if you can!
