Has anyone tried a rectangular exhaust pipe for clearance?
Has anyone tried a rectangular exhaust pipe for clearance?
I was wondering if instead of 2 1/2" pipes for a dual setup, using something flatter and wider to run underneath the chassis for better clearance. In other words, rectangular instead of round. I was thinking that a 2"x6" rectangular shape would flow at least as much as 2 1/2" round pipe.

For ground clearance, I've always seen oval pipes used.....

I saw some flat ducting on a BBC powered Saab 900 in the UK a few years ago. It was one of the quickest street legal cars in Europe at the time.

You mean like this? This stuff is all hand made and takes a rediculous amount of time/labour to fab. The Dr.Gas stuff is very expensive and running oval piping does present a certain amount of packaging challenges. I think your better off running one of the large mufflex systems.
