side exhaust

im putting headmen long tubes on my 87 camaro thinking about side exhaust got an idea but always looking for other ideas. So anyone got any? pics would help. thanks

If you mean side pipes like the old Vettes or early Vipers....Every sidepipe I've seen are too short to look right under our LONG doors.

If you mean a simple turn-out to the side, under the car, there are several cars here on TGO with those. Mine will be one around Summer next year, if all goes well between now & then.

no vette lol just simple, coming right out before the rear tires. i have two slp loud mouths i want to put on it. with the 4th flat tips.

If you do a search on TGO, you'll find plenty of picxs of 3rd gens with them. Gives you info on what/how they did, etc.

Using the feature can be your biggest friend.

Every time I've seen this done it looked hillbilly and there was basically 0 ground clearance.

na not yet had some troubles wit my daily "buick" and my trans and had to sink money into that so im out of money for now. some time in feb im doing it. think the easiest way and most clearance is to run straight now the drive shaft tunnel and at rear run two 90s with about 2 foot of pipe right out the side.
