i just purchased a 1991 firebird with a 305 tbi, i plan on upgrading to tuned port in the future, deleting the a.i.r pump, and putting full length headers on and also deleting the cat as smog laws are of no concern. Can anyone recommend a nice throaty sounding muffler? i don't like the sound of raspy glasspacks to much, but i love the sound of a deep throaty exhaust, and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

i have flowmasters on my camro and dynomax super turbo mufflers on my monte the flowmasters sound great and everyone hears you and looks at ya. but the dynomax i have got a lil tone at idle then when you get on it they come to life with a nice sound both are reasonably priced and you can get them at advance or autozone etc.. hope i helped

 

I have a Flowmaster American Thunder cat back (80 series muffler) 3 in. pipe with a Magnaflow high flow cat and I get compliments all the time. I like it allot. do you want sound or better performance.....flowmaster sound great, but flow horrible. A better way to go is with a hooker max flow or aerochamber....the flow numbers are great and the sound is good too.

 

i was looking for performance and sound, and i have been looking at a flowmaster super 44, does anyone have this on their 3rd gen?
