zz383 exhaust
Hi All,
I currently have a carb'd zz383 with the following exhaust configuration:
*Hooker JetHot coated 2210 LT headers
*no cat
*Mufflex 2.5 y pipe
* 3" catback into 3" Flowmaster series 80 muffler
* Moser 9" with 3.70 gears
* upgraded 700R4
I feel I am choking the engine and was thinking of upgrading to a 3" y pipe into a 4" mufflex magnaflow catback. I was also considering going to 3" y pipe into a 4" intermediate then back to a Borla 3" (I would like to be able to adjust sound with plates) What do you guys think?
Thanks.

Re: zz383 exhaust
Today I upgraded to a 3" y pipe and 4" Magnaflow catback from Mufflex, and I must say its a huge improvement over my old Flowmaster system with the 2.5" y pipe. The car is more responsive now, and it sounds a lot better
(no more drone sound while cruising). I lost a little clearance on the y pipe, but Im still able to clear speed bumps.
