Catalytic Converter Replacement? CA?
So these will pass all smog standards here in CA?
If so, will these give me a better sound/more performance? :O

ALSO. It asks me if I have a code "F" Engine or if I have a code "H" Engine. I have a 5.0 TPI. What does F or H mean? Im assuming one is for TPI and one is for TBI. HELP ME! LOL.

Cali has gotten very strict on their cats recently and you'll want to make sure whatever you get has the proper part number/coding stamped on the cat or else you may be dumping a lot of money for a part that does not pass your visual inspection.
as for engine code, its referring to the 8th VIN digit.

Okay so the code is F, awesome. Thanks! But it says that it will pass all Cali's expectations for smog, can I trust that?

Not on my camaro, but I would bet that the shop you take your car to for a new cat is going to get that cat from somewhere like CSK or Napa or something like that. I would just call a few parts stores and ask them for a Ca. legal universal, or weld in cat. a weld in will require welding (duh) but its still a lot less $$ than a direct fit.
If I had to guess I'd say you could get a legal weld in cat for somewhere around $170 and maybe $100 to have it installed.

your VIN will be at the corner of your driver side dash near the bottom of the windshield. You can also find it on a lot of the body panels (I've seen em on the hood, hatch, doors, etc) but if anything's ever been changed, you may get the wrong number. The dash one is the most reliable source.
