It turns out that the problem with my car was not fuel injectors as we thought several months ago, but rather a vacum leak in the pcv hose that helped cause a clogged catalytic converter. And so now I have to replace the converter. I have a decision between converters to make so I was hoping some of you guys could lend me your experience and opinions relating Dynomax catalytic converters.

Here is what I got: A 1991 5.0L TPI T/A, engine code F. I have a Flowmaster muffler on the back end after a stock extension pipe. The car is nearly 20 years old so I don't know if I have to get an emissions test or not again after fially passing my last one. (Maryland laws.)

I don't want it to sound tooo deep because I don't want it sounding like a big old Pick up Truck. However I would love to have the boost in perfomance I could get. Both converters are nearly the same price at Advance, give or take $5.

What does Dynomax cats sound like on a 5.0 TPI with a flowmaster muffler? (How deep and rumbly is it actually?) How much more horsepower is to gain? What are your opinions (and tastes) about Dynomax catalytic converters?

Or maybe I should consider a Magna Flow? http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...0A3160512.aspx

What do you think about those?
