Which material to use?
I picked up a cheap set of 3" SLP pup cats, which are mild steel, for my LS1 swap. The headers are SS from HAWKS, but they have 2.5" collectors.
I'm just going to weld a 3" 2-bolt flange onto the collector, but I'm not sure if I should use SS or mild steel on the header while using mild on the cat.
