Re: Is It worth it to straight pipe
Compared to say China's polluting of the air the 0.1% difference we make is not going to matter in the end. In fact it is not going to make a lick of difference.
That's great but not everyone has had that experience with that product. I have been told by more then one person they are not all that great for passing etest. Not that I care my car is exempt.
If etest is not an issue a pipe is cheaper then blowing money on a high flow cat.

Is that the case with you, and what age is that?? I don't have emissions where I live I'm just curious...?

It depends on where you are located. Oregon is likes, 1984 or something to not have to pass smog. Portland though your are normally tested... I may be wrong, it just depends on where you are located, and how strict your Smog rules are.

Anything pre-OBDII is exempt from emissions testing in Missouri, so '96 and back. Although, a visual inspection is still required and all emission equipment needs to be in place. I just cut my cat out the other day because it clogged up but I plan on replacing it. It smelled bad enough with it on.

Come on guys!ive been gone from the boards for a couple years and are we still having this argument?
For you CA guys much respect for what yall have achieved with full emissions.emissions. Unfortunately most people do not have the cash or hookups yall have.
i have the same non emissions car i had when i was on here everyday.no federal agent has pulled me over or beaten down my door.im pretty sure my bone stock 93 gmc 4x4 puts out way more emissions than my car ever will.my car is driven around 1500 miles per year. All i hear you saying is talk to me when you can make 400rwhp with a CA EMISSIONS CAR.well donate us some fooking money cause by now our cats are shot and we do not have to put them on a classic car where we live.unless you wanna foot the bill for them i have no problem with you stating the law but the skies where i live are pure and clean.so chill out on your personal vendetta.Go after all the 50 and 60 modelk car clubs and tell them what they need to do.

Re: Is It worth it to straight pipe
by the way remind the federal govt that Colorado is breaking federal law.lmao dude give it a rest.
If this was a "How to reduce your carbon footprint thread",i would understand. Its not.so lets keep it on topic.Maybe we could make your response a sticky. That way you wouldnt have to keep typing it.it would save you a buttload of time and trouble and maybe you could use that spare time to make a 500 rwhp CA emissions car.just saying.
